If you think you're complaining of what you eat today, imagine the little ones who finds it difficult to look for something to eat. Especially those who risk their lives to escape from conflicts. So I ask you to please support this program:
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) toether with its global humanitarian partners, TNT, founder of the event in 2003, and the world's leading suppliers of fast moving consumer goods Unilever, with the support of its brand Knorr, invites you to join this year's "End Hunger, Walk the World," a global event over a 24 hour period, raising awareness to end child hunger, on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 6AM to 10AM at the Rajah Sulayman Park, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
"End Hunger, Walk the World" is a global event participated by 44 countries. Since 2003, all proceeds of the event have been donated to WFP's school feeding activities. In the Philippines, all proceeds of the walk are targeted to WFP's school feeding activities in conflict-affected areas of Mindanao, sustaining daily meals for 71,000 children from grades 1-3 in 427 schools in North Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat provinces, and bringing children to school and keeping them there.
Help raise awareness and funds to feed children, boost their chances of health, education and a brighter future. Let's start ending hunger.
