Harana is a type of folk song sang in adoration for a loved one. Ang Bagong Harana will showcase the love for the family, an individual, nature and the country featuring the greatest traditional and contemporary songs. Rekindle your heritage and patriotism in different suites arranged for the old and young audiences. Our elders to reminisce on their happy past and for the youth to reintroduce and instill nationalism in this time when foreign acts dominate media.
Director Floy Quintos talks about "Ang Bagong Harana" looking to the values, experiences and shared history as the basis for song groups and suites. In this revolution of art opening to the colonial thinking of the youth, it is about time that we relive the true Filipino in all of us that appreciates the land that we are stepping in.
