HAPPY FEET TWO movie review

the penguin musical is back! now Mumble (Elijah Wood) faces fatherhood to his son, Erick, in the awaited sequel, Happy Feet Two. brought to us by Warner Bros. Pictures opening November 23, 2011 in Philippine theaters.
cute baby penguins are quite an eye-candy. and in this movie, they will have special song and dance numbers in the contemporary music like dance and hiphop. you'll want to squeeze their fluffy cheeks and hug their muffin bodies like pretty stuffed toys.
back in this sequel are also the lovable Ramon and Lovelace (Robin Williams). as before, Ramon is still a hoping romantic wanting to take on female penguins regardless of its kind. Lovelace continues to increase his fellowship and now testifies under a new guru.

like the previews Happy Feet movie, environmental awareness and conservation is addressed. the co-existence of humans and the penguins of Antarctica also shows that some activities might put creatures in danger. and also you'll feel like watching National Geographic in the view of a lot of penguins. they also display their natural instincts of helping each other, keeping each other warm during snow storms etc.

there's also some "insights of life" from the krills (Brad Pitt and Matt Damon) which sometimes we might be ignoring but might have some sense to others. find out what they are.
enjoy the penguins with your family in theaters. watch Happy Feet Two starting November 23, 2011 in cinemas. available in 3D and 2D formats by Warner Bros. Pictures - a Warner Entertainment company.

JM De Guzman plays teenage father in Angelito: Batang Ama

in the roster of Kapamilya leading men, a new breed will take on the role very significant in today's youth. JM De Guzman plays a teenage boy accidentally taking the responsibility of a father in "Angelito: Batang Ama." the story is about the truth of a very innocent boy who engaged in a responsibility that took away his time to enjoy life. coined as new "advoca-serye," this TV show will teach the youth how some "things" can wait and should be well-thought of.
joining JM De Guzman are vatican actors like Elizabeth Oropesa, who admired the young actor's talent and his professionality. she also regarded the other young casts who take on the story not just a job but a mission to spread the word about implications of teenage pregnancy. she was also a teenage mom herself and narrated how she raised her own child like a best friend. Snooky Serna, making a comeback in the TV scene, very thankful of ABS-CBN by giving her this project. they portray the elders of JM (Angelito) and Charie Pineda (Rosalie) whom they guided very well but incidents disappoint them.
the young actors in the cast are Sam Concepcion (Migoy), Matt Evans (Rolan), Felix Roco (Spongky), and Devon Seron (Tere), who played the friends of Angelito and Rosalie as they enjoy teenage life. joining them are Kaye Abad and Tom Rodriguez.

JM De Guzman and Charie Pineda went into immersion for research about the roles. and on Angelito: Batang Ama, the issue of teenage pregnancy is shown from the perspective of the teenage father, unlike before in Philippine soap operas, it is always seen from the perspective of the teenage mother.

ANG BABAE SA SEPTIC TANK for OSCARS

from the whopping 5 awards in the Cinemalaya 2011 -- including Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Director -- Ang Babae sa Septic Tank (The Woman in the Septic Tank) now vies for the biggest award for a foreign movie, the Academy Awards. increase its potential to be included in the nominees and take pride in the Filipino talent of film making.
any genre almost fit in a 90-minute clip. comedy, drama, documentary, musical themes that might just receive an Oscar. educational too, learn Acting 101 with the Best Actress Eugene Domingo. joining her taking lessons in experience are JM De Guzman, Kean Cipriano and Cai Cortez.

this movie, not just as played by Eugene Domingo, has a lot of factors to consider. let her tell you why in this full trailer:

vote for Ang Babae sa Septic Tank at the Oscars. let the world know how it can cross the barriers of independent film making to the mainstream. we know that audiences are getting more and more intelligent in choosing a very good movie. when i saw it, i was very amused in the script and the acting abilities of her co-stars. giggled how Cai managed to be in the movie without saying anything. PETA for the musical number, and with special participation of Cherry Pie Picache and Mercedes Cabral.

this also opens the view of the audience on how to create an independent film. ups and lows but all for the fun and love it. if you have missed it, watch out for another release.
