HANSEL and GRETEL: Witch Hunters movie review

what happens after the witch was burnt? most of us would think what's beyond happily ever after. but in this film, HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS, the tandem of Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Anterton) became kick-ass witch killers.
many years after killing the witch in the gingerbread house, Hansel and Gretel became known for their stunts and tactics in killing and stopping plagues and mysterious abductions of children. had they known that witches are among town and neighborhoods getting children and thus they try to eliminate them with guns, bows and arrows.
in a town where they were hired to hunt for witches, townspeople little believe of their abilities which is more advantageous to their opponents. especially in a very special witching time. in this occasion, they'll discover a new form of evil that holds a secret from their past.

this twist on the Hansel and Gretel story is very much mature as two both experience new levels of their life. Hansel gets on his romantic aspect and Gretel deals on her big girl abilities conquering men. be prepared for nasty shoots of blood and slinging arrows especially when you're in 3D. action is fast-paced with solid bumps and slashes.

on January 23, see HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS in Philippine Cinemas, distributed by Solar Entertainment. directed by Tommy Wirkola.
